2023

In an age of machine mass production, where the human hand need not intervene to effect creation; What is it we leave behind and what do these remnants say about us? As humans we have always tended to collect, use and discard; the only things that change are the materials being disposed of and the volume of disposal. Utilizing bottles sourced from historic dumping grounds, I create new ceramic representations of our forefathers refuse. This work stands in testament to the ever present nature of the detritus we create and leave behind; it may be forgotten but it is not gone. Magnetized for ease of installation and leave no trace removal, this is a movable site specific installation, dimensions and bottle quantities vary depending on location.

Forgotten But Not Gone
