These light shades are fashioned in the same manner as the post consumer recycled baskets. It turns out that banding straps are made of a polypropylene plastic, meaning they are only degraded by uv rays. Luckily LED bulbs do not emit any uv rays and they give the lights a radiant white glow.

Any LED can be used, my personal choice is a 60watt LED equivalent bulb in daylight. The cord is a pre-fashioned 15foot three prong plug with and on off switch.

The lights can be used outside, but cannot be left outside. The suns rays will degrade the plastic with time.
